Woeful England.
Dave Henderson
Now we have seen the best that England Cricket has to offer, and the only surprise
is that they managed to survive four days. This Test Series is looking as
one-sided
at the Gulf War. I see that with England losing Captain Poppadom, both Mark
Butcher and Alec Stewart have both declined the Captaincy. Could you ever imagine
an Aussie refusing a chance to Captain their side? I bet any of the Aussies
would all crawl over five miles of broken glass just to hear Allan Border fart
over the telephone. And rightly so. The Poms are really looking down the gun
barrel of a humiliating series defeat right now. Thorpe looks doubtful for
Lords, Gough looked like nothing more than a good net bowler and Giles could
not spin a top. It is a sad state of affairs when Mark Butcher is your best
bowler. Trescothick is a quality player but do not forget that he got a duck
first innings.
Right now it is unimaginable that England could win a match in this series.
The Aussies are just too strong in all departments. Put your money on a 4-0
series win.
P.S Drop Matt Hayden.
